A message from Vineyard Family Services of Central Alabama, Inc. (VFS), Executive Director, Ward Williams
Dear VFS Clientele, Volunteers, and Supporters,
During this critical time, VFS is responding to an urgent community need to support workers on the front lines of the virus. We are committed to the standards put out by the CDC relating to CPVID-19.
We, along with sponsors, have continued to provide food service to our over 1,000 public school children on our program. We are working closely with the Alabaster City, Pelham City, and Shelby County School Systems, not only provide our regular service to the students, but also family emergency bulk food boxes, to their families and other families in need. Service is provided through the school sites set-up through each school system.
At this time, we have cancelled all events planned, and will serve clients and families remotely when possible. This includes, but is not limited to, agency events, outside events, parenting & juvenile classes taking place at other locations, such as Department of Corrections, My Sister’s Place, ATEF, Alabama Office of Courts, Shelby County Court House, Shelby County Juvenile Detention, and others.
I believe we are all in this together, and together we can make a difference.
I want to encourage you that VFS continues to be actively involved in our community, and your financial support is essential. Your contributions make it possible to serve the community at a time of overwhelming circumstances.
VFS is uniquely positioned to help as first responders to the three school systems we already serve, and to the families we take care of through the BackPack Buddies Program, Parenting Programs, and Juvenile Detention arenas.
Should you wish to help, your tax-deductible donations can be made: www.vfsdads.com or Checks mailed to: VFS P.O. Box 2458 Alabaster, AL. 35007
Sincerely, Ward Williams, Executive Director
