Program Overview
Our Workforce Development (WFD) program prioritizes up-skilling our individual clients for long term success in the workplace, however, the benefit of the WFD program extends to the prosperity of employers and the community in its entirety.
What We Do
VFS partners with Alabama Community Colleges and local employers to provide the following resources:

GED preparation

Job readiness

Connection to employers

Skills training

Case management

Resources referrals
(housing, counseling, etc.)


Who We Serve
VFS aims to serve those who are in need of employment services but may have barriers that prevent them from reaching their employment goals. This includes:​​

Both non-custodial and custodial parents that are​ unemployed or underemployed.

Individuals lacking a high school diploma or GED.
-
Any individual that lacks the skills to obtain gainful employment.
